It is with great humility, honour and respect that we acknowledge the traditional and unceded territories of the Coast Salish, Nuu-Chah-Nulth and Kwakwaka’wkaw cultural families, whose relationship with these lands remains unbroken.
We acknowledge that we are extremely privileged, as uninvited settlers, to be able to work, live and play on the magnificent lands of the lək̓ʷəŋən, Malahat, Pacheedaht, Scia’new, T’Sou-ke and W̱SÁNEĆ (Pauquachin, Tsartlip, Tsawout, Tseycum) peoples.
In making this acknowledgment, we commit to walk softly on this land and work to be allies for Indigenous communities.
Crafts From The Crypt Fair is donating to two important Indigenous organizations. Oasis Society supports vulnerable Indigenous people living on the streets of Victoria and those involved in street life. The Indian Residential School Survivors Society (IRSSS) provides essential services to residential school survivors and family experiencing intergenerational trauma.
We encourage you to support these and other Indigenous organizations and reflect on the tragic and painful experiences residential school survivors and their families have lived through.
